If a tree is dropping limbs, sparse at the top or leafing out late, something is wrong with it. Jacob is an ISA Certified Arborist, and the first step is finding out what. It can be the roots, the soil, an insect, a disease, or damage from construction or a storm.
What helps depends on the cause. That can mean air spading, which loosens packed soil around the roots with compressed air without cutting them; a ring of mulch to keep the soil cool and hold water; or pruning out dead and diseased limbs. Jacob will also tell you what helps from your side, like keeping vehicles off the roots and watering in a drought.
Trees on the lake and on rocky Ozarks lots often struggle with shallow soil and dry spells. A tree that was fine for years can decline after a dry summer or after the yard was regraded.
If a tree cannot be saved, we tell you, and price taking it down.
