Most trees come down in sections, lowered on a rope. Some trees are too big for that, or stand so close to the house that there is nowhere to set the wood down. On those jobs a crane does the lifting, and each piece is lifted up and over the house and set down where the crew can cut it up.
A crane needs a place to set up, such as a drive or a flat spot within reach of the tree, so where it can sit is part of the estimate. On steep lake lots that is often the deciding question.
Cleanup is part of the job. The brush goes through the chipper and the wood goes on the wood truck.
