A free estimate covers the trees you called about. This assessment goes further: Jacob walks the whole place with you and looks at every tree.
Good before you buy or sell a place with big trees, when an inspector or insurer flags a tree, or for a lake lot you do not see every week.
What Jacob Looks At
The roots and the root flare where the trunk meets the ground: soil heaving, roots cut by a driveway or a trench, fungus at the base.
The trunk: cracks, cavities, soft or hollow wood, old wounds, and lean, including whether the lean is old and steady or new.
The crown: dead and hanging limbs, weak forks where two trunks pull apart, heavy limbs over the house, and how much of the tree is still putting on leaves.
What is under each tree: the house, the dock, the drive, a power line, a play set. A weak tree over a field can usually wait; one over a bedroom should not.
What You Get
A plain answer for every tree: leave it, prune it, cable it, mulch it, or take it down, and the order to do it in. The work it calls for comes to you as a written estimate by text or email.
The Fee Comes Off the Work
The assessment is a paid service. If you have us do the removals or the pruning it calls for, the fee comes off that final bill.
What's Included
- Every tree on the property, walked in person
- Roots, trunk and crown checked
- What each tree would hit if it came down
- A plain answer and a plan for each tree
- The fee comes off the bill for the work that follows
What Changes the Price
The fee depends on the size of the property and how many trees it has, and it comes off the final bill for any removal or pruning you have us do.
We stand behind our work. If something doesn't look right, call Jacob.
